Leadership

Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler is one of the most famous leaders throughout history. Hitler is known throughout the whole world because of his actions as a leader. People may not like him for his actions but he was still a great leader. He was born in April 20th 1889 in Austria. He died in April 30th 1945 in Berlin, Germany.

Hitler was the dictator in German during world war two. In 1923 Hitler became the leader of the Nazi party. He managed to seize control over Germany. People of Germany supported Hitler as he promised them what they wanted. Hitler promised to make Germany proud again as they were tired of their poor quality of life. He promised to restore German honour by making Germany great.

In September 1st 1939 world war two (WWII) started with the invasion of Poland. After the invasion of Poland Germany started to invade other countries to increase power.

Hitler had a big problem with Jewish peoples. He was very discriminative to all Jews and did terrible things to them. They were treated as if they were not human. Jews were taken to concentration camps and beaten in the streets. Hitler was strongly against Jews.

Hitler had his own kind of person in mind soon named the master race. These people would have blonde hair and blue eyes. They were known as the “pure race” this master race put a lot of other races in discrimination.

In late April and early May Germany surrendered and WW2 was finally at the end. 1995. On April 30th Hitler committed suicide not only killing himself but his family as well. He shot his family and poisoned himself. This was the end of Hitler.

Today Hitler is still studied in many schools and has become one of the most famous people to have lived.

Martin Luther King

Martin Luther King was a leader like many others but he was a leader for one specific purpose. He was a leader for standing up for rights for black people. Before Martin Luther King black people were discriminated a lot. Although we still have it in our day and age back then it was worth. Martian Luther King was a courageous man who stood up for his beliefs not just for himself but for all people.

Martin Luther King was born in January 15th in 1929 in the United States. He died in April 4th 1968 aged 39. He was inspired by Ghandi and many other leaders who fought for rights such as he did.

Martin Luther King was fighting for rights for black people. Black people were treated very badly. As if they were impure and that being white meant you were superior to blacks. Martin thought different from this. He believed in equality, that all people were equal and should be treated as such.

Martin Luther King took a lot of risks in fighting for black rights. He was stabbed at a book signing in New York. This was in 1958 and he was very close to being killed. Luckily he made it to see another day and carry out his fight.

In August 28th 1963 in Washington D.C he made a public speech in front of over 200’000 civil right supporters, and is known to be one of the greatest and most notable speeches in human history. Martin Luther King is well known for his speech including the quote “I have a dream” much like Barak Obama’s “Yes we can”. It has become like a catchphrase, an icon of Martin Luther.

Martin Luther was killed in April 4th by assassination. This was the end of Martin Luther King but what he had fought for started to unfold. Even though there is less discrimination in the world than there was, there is still some and quite a lot of discrimination.
